As Senior Materials Manager, you will be playing a critical role in the construction of novel battery chemical plants near Corpus Christi, TX. You will lead the development and optimization of a robust materials management program. You will build and lead a high-performing team, establish streamlined workflows, and drive continuous improvements to minimize waste, reduce costs, and support project timelines.
Program Development

- Recruit, hire, and build a materials management team, including roles such as coordinators, inspectors, and logistics specialists

Workflow Establishment and Optimization

- Establish and optimize workflows to minimize waste and reduce costs
- Identify and track key metrics, including inventory accuracy, turnaround times, cost savings, and refine workflows based on data analysis
Performance Monitoring and Improvements

- Proactively address edge cases, such as supply chain disruptions, and build contingency plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate materials management into broader operations and cost systems

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in Architecture or equivalent experience
- 10 years of relevant industry experience, including heavy industrial, oil & gas, complex chemical plants, and refineries
- Previous experience on $250M projects
- Managing 5 senior-level direct reports
- Ability to work within a high-performance cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals
Proficiency in PowerBI or other data analytic software is considered an asset.
