The Materials Manager is responsible for end-to-end supply chain leadership for the Valve Division, with full ownership of inventory performance, procurement execution, and material strategy. This role ensures inventory is right-sized, properly positioned, and system-driven while enforcing discipline across procurement, planning, and data integrity. The position is accountable for working capital performance, cost savings, and supplier performance across the division.
Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Ownership
Own end-to-end supply chain performance for the Valve Division
Drive alignment between planning, purchasing, and operations
Establish standardized supply chain processes across all locations
Inventory Strategy & Optimization
Own total inventory value and working capital performance
Lead initiatives to right-size inventory
Ensure Plan for Every Part (PFEP) discipline across all items
Define stocking locations, reorder points, and order quantities
Procurement Leadership
Own and enforce procurement processes across the division
Ensure alignment between purchasing and demand
Standardize purchasing practices across all regions
Strategic Sourcing & Cost Management
Lead supplier pricing negotiations
Lead sourcing strategies
Deliver annual cost savings and cost mitigation targets
Develop appropriate replenishment systems to reduce lead times / costs
Validate, develop and manage new suppliers
ERP & Data Integrity
Own item master and vendor master accuracy
Ensure correct lead times, pricing, and inventory parameters (ROP, ROQ/EOQ, etc.)
Drive accountability for system accuracy
Planning & Material Flow
Lead planning processes and activities across the division
Ensure proper inventory positioning and replenishment
Align supply chain with sales and production demand
Performance Metrics
Inventory turns / Days inventory on hand
Inventory values vs targets
Supplier performance
Cost savings, expedite rate? and system accuracy

Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
7–10+ years in supply chain or materials management
Experience managing multi-site inventory
Strong ERP and sourcing experience. NetSuite experience preferred
Proven cost savings and working capital improvement
Strong leadership and analytical skills
