Materials Manager

Location: Sturgis, Michigan
Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite
Salary: $70,000–$90,000

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Materials Manager to oversee materials planning, inventory management, production scheduling, and the implementation of lean manufacturing and pull-system processes within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

• Manage materials planning, inventory levels, work orders, capacity planning, and production schedules to support on-time production and shipping goals.

• Lead and support pull-system operations and visual inventory management, coordinating priorities with production and department managers.

  
  
• 
  

• Participate in APQP and daily production planning meetings, monitor production deviations and rejected materials, and help drive continuous improvement.

  
  
• 
  

• Track key production and materials metrics, support special projects, and utilize data and reporting to improve efficiency, inventory accuracy, and overall operational performance.

Requirements

• 
  

• 7–10 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment; blow molding experience preferred.

  
  
• 
  

• 5+ years of ERP/MRP experience and strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and pull-system principles.

  
  
• 
  

• Strong analytical, organizational, and data-driven decision-making skills with advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.

  
  
• 
  

• Excellent communication and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and collaborate effectively with manufacturing leadership.

  
  
• 
  

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred but not required.

  
  
• 
  

• Experience with OEE and manufacturing performance metrics highly desired.
