Professional Safety Solutions, LLC is hiring experienced Materials Owner’s Representative

 

Responsibilities:

  • Owner’s Representative is responsible for overseeing Invenergy construction projects including:

  • Maintain regular presence on site during the hours where other contractors are present and working.

  • Be a safety steward and hold themselves to all safety requirements by Contractors and Invenergy. Report to the Construction Manager and Invenergy any deficiencies or safety concerns. Stop work if there is any immediate danger to employees or equipment, or if there is a major quality concern.

  • For renewable energy projects (Solar, Wind, and BESS), monitor the offloading of major equipment and materials, including Owner-Furnished Equipment (OFE), verifying quantities, inspecting condition, and documenting receipt as materials are unloaded.

  • Inspect, scan, and record materials (e.g., solar modules, wind components, BESS units, MPTs, auxiliary transformers, control enclosures, and other OFEs) into the receiving inventory system at the time of offloading, and maintain all Bills of Lading (BOLs) and receiving documentation in both physical and digital formats.

  • Utilize Invenergy’s inventory management software for scanning, tracking, reporting, and any other applicable inventory control tasks.

  • Inspect and document damaged materials or pallets, record the responsible party when identifiable, initiate non-conformance or damage reports as required, and ensure damaged items are properly labeled, quarantined, and stored in accordance with project procedures.

  • Act as a liaison between Contractors, the corporate Procurement team, logistics providers, and carriers to coordinate daily delivery schedules, resolve delivery issues, and support material flow planning.

  • Monitor and document the offloading of specialized equipment (including inverters, transformers, MPTs, control enclosures, and BESS components), complete required receiving inventory reports, and ensure records are properly stored and distributed.

  • Conduct spot checks of contractor-purchased or off-take materials at delivery to verify quantities, general condition, and alignment with approved material submittals.

  • From time to time, the Owner Representative may be asked to assist in other fields, such as mechanical, materials or electrical quality assurance, and will be encouraged to learn cross-functional skills.

  • Establish regular points of connection with other contractors, including but not limited to attending Plan of Day (POD) meetings or End Of Day (EOD) meetings as established by contractors and any other all-hands meetings.

  • Review and monitor QA/QC documentation, including NCRs, RFIs, submittals, and test records, to verify completeness, consistency, and status, and coordinate identified issues with the Construction Manager and Contractor.

  • Establish a positive working relationship with all contractors, subcontractors, and/or any suppliers. Be a steward of collaboration and reward good work.

  • Perform regular visits to the construction areas, participate in quality benchmarks and safety programs by Project contractors.

  • Report promptly to Invenergy any deviation or foreseen deviation from the Project specifications.

  • Provide daily written detailed reports directly in Project Team (PT) reporting platform, including photos of progress of all activities on-site regarding the discipline, and discussions or agreements with the applicable construction contractors, suppliers and/or any relevant subcontractors transmission provider, site owners, government officials, the public, or any other relevant party.

  • To ensure Owner’s Representative is adequately prepared to work on the Project, attend in-office or virtual orientations and all-hands meetings when required.

  • Utilize Project Team, Invenergy’s construction management software, for reports, documentation storage and review and any other applicable tasks.

  • When not on the Project site, Owner’s Representative may participate in virtual meetings, or review documentation for the Project, subject to CM approval.

  • Work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, or wind or uneven terrain as required by project. Climb ladders, access elevated equipment, and work at heights (e.g., transformers, structures)

  • Safely and competently work around energized or potentially energized electrical environments, including substations, collection systems, and associated facilities, in accordance with applicable safety rules and procedures.
