JOB SUMMARY
The Material Planner – Aftermarket is responsible for planning and managing material requirements that support aftermarket (spares) demand within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role oversees material resource planning, demand management, shortage management, and job coordination to ensure materials are available to support production and fulfill urgent customer requirements. Acting as a key liaison between Aftermarket Support, Procurement, Operations, Inventory, Warehouse, and Engineering, the Material Planner helps drive material availability and the timely delivery of aftermarket products while supporting overall business objectives.

- Plan and manage material requirements to support aftermarket (spares) demand.
- Manage demand signals within the ERP system to ensure accurate material planning and timely replenishment.
- Monitor MRP, shortage reports, inventory levels, and demand signals to maintain material availability and support on-time delivery.
- Perform daily shortage management by identifying material constraints and coordinating resolution with Procurement and Manufacturing Operations.
- Coordinate job management activities to support production schedules and ensure material availability for manufacturing.
- Plan and maintain appropriate stock and inventory strategies to support unpredictable aftermarket demand.
- Support expedited material flow and prioritize urgent aftermarket requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Communicate material shortages, schedule risks, and planning issues that may impact production or order fulfillment.
- Partner with Aftermarket Support, Procurement, Operations, Inventory, Warehouse, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to support timely order fulfillment.
- Investigate and resolve planning discrepancies, data issues, and recurring material availability challenges.
- Maintain accurate planning data and material information within the ERP system.
- Review planning data for accuracy and make corrections as necessary.
- Coordinate shipping documentation and invoicing activities related to aftermarket orders, as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes, inventory performance, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
- Protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products.
- Contribute to team efforts by performing other job-related duties and projects as assigned or requested.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management is preferred. A combination of related experience and education may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of directly related experience in materials planning, supply chain, production planning, inventory planning, or a related manufacturing environment.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-urgency manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve material planning issues.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Operations, Inventory, Warehouse, Engineering, and Aftermarket Support.
- Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) principles and ERP systems.
- Ability to analyze demand signals, material shortages, and inventory requirements to support production and customer fulfillment.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn in a continuously evolving environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to resolving planning challenges.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Aerospace manufacturing or aftermarket (spares) planning experience preferred.

Salary Range Transparency: $80,000 - $105,000 annually
