Summary
The Supply Chain MaterialsPlanner is responsible for forecasting demand for all material needed to support product lines across Aviation Global Services (AGS) business line. Demand planner will be the primary liaison between Program Management, Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Quality, PMA, Sales, Procurement, and Repair Stations to ensure an accurate multi-year forecast is published on a regular basis. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all teams are working off one true demand outlook so parts are ordered and available to support Spares, Maintenance and Repairs requirements. The position will be involved in both tactical and strategic inventory, project and program initiatives, and may provide guidance and training to less experienced Planners in the accomplishment of daily activities. This position has responsibilities for adherence against customer, program, project and budget.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for ensuring materials operations and support services meet customer, program, and project requirements, and are compliant with EHS, AS9100, FAA, and U.S. Export/Import and DOT regulations.
  • Recommends documents and updates operational, business, and ERP processes & procedures.
  • Collaborates with other Services and support teams to include: Program Management, Regional Account Teams, Industrial Operations Material Planning, Purchasing/Procurement, ODA/PMA, TKM & Line Maintenance, Quality, Repair Station, Production, Maintenance Operations Center and Engineering.
  • May be assigned to perform Materials Planning in support of: Distribution Center, Repair Station, Line Maintenance, Production, or Project areas
  • Establishes and maintains inventory plans to ensure material availability as required to support established stocking plans, service level goals for maintenance and repairs, and customer orders
  • Reviews and implements MRP actions; makes appropriate inventory/production decisions
  • Generates, manages and schedules Planned Orders, Purchase Requisitions and Production Orders
  • Analyzes inventory position and plan against Engineering Change Orders, Service Bulletins, Program Campaigns, and demand changes; implements appropriate inventory actions
  • Supports review and impact of material obsolescence; implements and monitors material obsolescence risk mitigation plans
  • Provides material planning support for reliability engineering projects
  • Enforces established quality control requirements
  • Identifies, develops, and implements metrics and control systems to support various goals and objectives in collaboration with the Services’ business and customer satisfaction needs
  • Orders materials and coordinates with procurement and production to ensure on time delivery as required to support demand
  • Establishes and implements material support plans for new programs and projects
  • Produces material demand forecasts based on historical data and/or projected reliability data (MTBUR/MTBF)
  • Analyzes data to identify problems and collaborates with leadership to develop innovative solutions
  • Partners with leadership to complete annual budget review and analysis and provides recommendations
  • Participates in Services’ contract reviews and provides recommended changes
  • Other duties as assigned by Team leader

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 1-3 years’ previous experience, in Supply Chain, Business, or related field is required
  • Related Materials Management work experience includes: Material Planning/Scheduling, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Inventory/Production Control
  • Previous Materials Management experience in the airline and/or electronics manufacturing industry preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in a matrix organization where initiative and independent action is a pre-requisite
  • Demonstrated experience successfully operating in a team environment to schedule tasks and ensure the completion of those tasks on time and within control limits
  • Ability to work independently and to be a self-starter; ability to multitask and effectively prioritize tasks
  • Must have the ability to identify potential issues before they arise and take corrective action to eliminate the risk.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with creating and generating Metrics, Charts, and Dashboards
  • Experience with MRP analysis and methods using an ERP System, SAP preferred
  • Experience with PowerBI
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to determine materials requirements and changes
  • Certification: APICS CPIM/CSCP or ISM CPSM a plus
