Job Title: Materials Planner
Location: Onsite in San Antonio, TX
Schedule: 5:30AM-4:00PM Monday-Thursday
Job Type: W2 Contract - 12 months (possibility of extension or conversion)
Pay: $25-$32/hour (depending on benefits & experience)

Job Summary:
Material Planning includes but are not limited to:
Running exception reports and communicating with the supply base on potential part issues. There are opportunities
to communicate, and problem solve with cross functional teams including other supply chain team members, production, quality, engineering, customer response center, third party logistics and procurement. Communication may be direct with supply base and/or through corporate conference calls. Material planners are responsible for material inventory levels as it moves through the production cycle.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle
• Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules
• Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering
• Develops specifications for new contract orders
• Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and
parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems
 
Required Skills, Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree
OR
• At least 2 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience
 
Preferred Experience:
• MS Office – Knowledge with Excel
• Good Organizational Skills
• Good Communication Skills
• Intuitive
• Proactive
• Sense of Urgency
