Job Summary

The Material Program Management role is responsible for facilitating material delivery schedules, maintaining inventory accuracy, and actively coordinating with end customers on material planning requirements. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage material and delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival and avoid line-down situations.
  • Identify and implement solutions for material shortages by engaging with the spot market, brokers, suppliers, or coordinating with customers.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve material shortages and actively communicate material status to clients.
  • Prepare material shortage reports for updated providers.
  • Negotiate quotations with brokers to secure the best pricing and reasonable lead times.
  • Provide raw material quotations to end customers and monitor the logistics process to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Address incoming shipment issues such as quality concerns and RMA requests.
  • Coordinate material repairs, both on-site and off-site.
  • Track material returns and credit memos.
  • Collaborate with the Incoming Quality Assurance department to resolve material discrepancies, such as missing drawings or components.
  • Consistently follow up with customs brokers to provide necessary documentation and avoid logistical delays.
  • Ensure RMAs are processed correctly by suppliers and monitor the arrival of credit or replacement materials.
  • Communicate with internal PE to ensure the BOM is current and accurate.
  • Work with the receiving department to resolve discrepancies and prevent delays.
  • Coordinate with internal CFT (PM, WH, & Production teams) on material status to align with production build plans.
  • Assist buyers in expediting materials, requesting samples, and managing PO issues.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and clients for alternate part suggestions.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience in supply chain or OEM management.
  • Experience using SAP or any related ERP system is a plus.
  • Strong written comprehension and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
  • Proficient in computer literacy and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
