Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and safely. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and the ability to operate various equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.

Day Shift Standard Hours: Monday - Friday 7AM-3:30PM, OT as scheduled by supervisor

Duties
  • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment to move products throughout the warehouse.
  • Utilize RF scanners for inventory management and order picking.
  • Follow OSHA safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all materials are accounted for.
  • Perform order picking tasks efficiently to meet production schedules.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area.
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and address any operational issues.

Requirements
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of materials handling processes.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks.
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job.
  • Knowledge of shipping & receiving protocols is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to safety practices.
