Job Responsibilities:
Required Skills
- Proficiency in PC operation and familiarity with ERP/SAP, MAGJIS Shipping System.
- Knowledge of Just-in-Time (JIT) and Just-in-Sequence (JIS) principles.
- Experience with escalation processes, layered process audits, error-proofing, and problem-solving tools.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and rotate within the department as needed.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to write professional emails and collaborate effectively.
Preferred Skills & Knowledge:
- Leadership & Problem-Solving Expertise: Proven ability to lead teams, drive operational improvements, and resolve complex shipping challenges such as damaged racks, incorrect deliveries, and labeling errors.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Effectively coordinate with internal teams, external partners like BMW, and facilitate communication for shipping swaps, facility expansions, and process changes.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of shipping and material handling processes-including racks, pallets, labels, packaging, poke yokes, and related systems. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (ERP, SAP, MAGJIS) and data analysis tools.
- Operational Excellence: Focused on quality control, defect elimination, and adherence to lean practices such as 5S, error proofing, and layered process audits.
- Process Improvement & Project Management: Skilled in developing, implementing, and leading new shipping initiatives (e.g., BL shipping, Hall 52 shipping), along with conducting root cause analysis for operational errors.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure shipment accuracy through proper packing (gray pads, correct labeling) and maintain communication to prevent wrong deliveries.
- Safety & Housekeeping: Uphold a clean, well-organized environment aligned with 5S strategies and promote a safety-first mentality.
- Adaptability & Cross-Training: Willing to learn new processes, rotate roles within the Logistics department, and participate in physical inventory and scheduling.
- Customer Focus & Escalation Management: Capable of analyzing delivery issues, reporting, escalating, and maintaining supply chain integrity to meet customer expectations.
- Operational Planning & Coordination: Ability to plan, communicate, and coordinate daily tasks, monitor system data integrity during changes, and oversee production and shipping schedules.
- Team Culture & Continuous Improvement: Foster a team-oriented atmosphere, promote good housekeeping, and participate in departmental change management.
- Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Conduct daily safety inspections, communicate safety policies, and ensure a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to eliminate damaged racks, worn pallets, and shipment errors.
- Drive process improvements for shipping procedures, including new initiatives such as Business Lounge shipping and expansion-related logistics.
- Oversee and improve communication with stakeholders, including the dock team and external partners.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, monitor shipping/receiving data, and ensure the integrity of all system information.
- Conduct root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, and process failures.
- Coordinate and participate in annual physical inventories.
- Develop and maintain production schedules, employee training matrices, and job rotation plans.
- Administer customer delivery performance reports and manage escalation processes.
