Job Purpose:

  • The Materials Supervisor at PRINSCO plays a crucial role in overseeing the flow and management of materials within the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely availability of materials necessary for production and operations, thereby supporting the company's goals for quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the materials team to ensure effective inventory management and material flow.
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing material usage and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with procurement and production teams to forecast material needs and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
  • Monitor and analyze material usage patterns to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all materials handling and storage activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, material transactions, and supplier performance.
  • Lead efforts to improve material handling processes and systems, including the implementation of new technologies.
  • Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in materials management.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure the quality and integrity of materials.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve any issues related to materials availability or quality.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in materials management or supply chain operations.
  • Proven track record of supervising and leading a team in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience with inventory control and warehouse management systems.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software.
