MATERIALS SUPERVISOR - RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting of receipts, production, scrap and other inventory-related data on the computer to accurately maintain inventory levels of production material.
  • Ensures proper warehousing practices and material flow to support production requirements while maintaining quality.
  • These practices include proper FIFO inventory rotation.
  • Helps coordinates flow of materials or products.
  • Responsible for monitoring the scheduling of incoming production material.
  • Assist with cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory accountability
  • Responsible for expediting incoming material as required.
  • Enforces safety compliance by ensuring the proper training is given in OSHA mandated regulations.
  • Follows safety regulations and enforces compliance with company safety rules and regulations.
  • Understands and complies with all company policies and procedures, and enforces workers to follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Monitors suppliers and commercial carriers to ensure that delivery schedules are consistently met and any error rectified on a timely basis.
  • Arranges for and follows up on special pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Arranges for disposal of surplus materials.
  • Develops and implements visual inventory management systems on the production floor.
  • Assists as required in resolving this disposition of substandard or rejected materials.
  • Ensures supplies are delivered on time to provide uninterrupted production and shipment of finished goods.
  • Utilizes and practices methods of continuous improvement.
  • Complies with all Company Safety policies, procedures and rules.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must have recent experience in an Automotive Manufacturing plant.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be able to work an off shift.
