Get to Know Your Team: 

  • UT Health East Texas is comprised of 10 hospitals, more than 90 clinics, nearly 7,000 employees and over 1,000 licensed inpatient beds. UT Health East Texas provides healthcare services through our hospitals, clinics, Level 1 trauma facility, air emergency fleet and EMS service.
Responsibilities:

The Materials Tech position will perform a variety of routine tasks and functions to receive, ship, and distribute supplies to hospital departments, providing timely and accurate availability of required materials through the adherence of policies, procedures and regulations ensuring compliance and patient safety. 

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Data entry experience.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • One (1) year of related warehouse, inventory or customer service experience.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel).
  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience with use of heavy equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, dock equipment, etc.
  • Ability to drive department owned vehicles, including but not limited to a box truck.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to act independently.
  • Demonstrates initiative, dependability, and flexibility to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to review information and take action.
