Job Description Summary:
The Maternal Fetal Medicine APRN provides specialized care to high-risk obstetric patients in collaboration with MFM physicians and multidisciplinary teams. This role focuses on managing complex pregnancies, ensuring optimal maternal and fetal outcomes through evidence-based, compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments, including detailed histories, physical exams, and risk evaluations
Manage high-risk pregnancy conditions such as gestational diabetes, hypertension, multiple gestations, and fetal anomalies
Assist in coordinating and monitoring advanced diagnostic testing (e.g., ultrasounds, NSTs, BPPs)
Provide patient education on high-risk pregnancy management, treatment plans, and follow-up care
Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, and care teams to develop individualized care plans
Participate in inpatient consults, rounding, and outpatient clinic visits
Support care coordination, including referrals, transitions of care, and follow-up scheduling
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with AdventHealth standards

Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Current Florida APRN license and national certification (WHNP, FNP, or related specialty)
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Women’s health, labor & delivery, or high-risk obstetrics experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-centered care skills
