Duke Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist to join our practice in the Durham, NC area.

  • High-risk obstetric care and ultrasound are provided at three clinic locations: Durham, Raleigh, and Cary, NC
  • Inpatient antepartum care and delivery services at the Duke Birthing Center at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC
  • We are committed to training the next generation of MFM specialists via our MFM fellowship
  • The Duke OB/GYN residency program and the School of Medicine are both ranked in the top 10 in the nation. MFM Faculty are actively involved in resident and student education.

The Duke Maternal Fetal Medicine team includes 13 attending physicians who provide full-spectrum MFM care, including prenatal care, fetal diagnostics, labor and delivery, and consultative care. The division is well known for several multidisciplinary programs, including the Placenta Accreta Spectrum program as well as their Pregnancy Heart Team. Our clinical mission is supported by advanced practice providers, nurse navigators, clinical social work, and interpreter services. The Division of MFM is home to nationally and internationally known researchers. Duke Perinatal Research and the Division serve as a center for the Maternal Fetal Medicine Units (MFMU) Network, funded through the NIH. The Division also boasts national leaders in community engagement and obstetric health disparities. 

Candidate requirements include an MD/DO degree and completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency and MFM fellowship program. Experienced and recently trained practitioners dedicated to providing compassionate patient care are encouraged to apply.
