Math Adjunct Faculty - Spring 2026

Hours vary and may include day, evening and weekend responsibilities. Courses are taught in a classroom setting and may include a lab component. Please indicate your availability in your cover letter.

Per Contact Hour

2025: Less than Master's = $1,069; Master's or above = $1,109

Adjunct teaching faculty provide instruction aligned with the college's strategic goals and evaluate students' progress to facilitate achievement of their educational goals.

Education requirements depend on the class to be taught. Developmental classes require, as a minimum, a bachelors degree in mathematics or mathematics education. Transfer-level classes require, as a minimum, a master's degree in mathematics or in a related discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics.

Deliver Instruction

1. Conduct assigned classes and/or labs

2. Prepare lessons

3. Provide course syllabus (which shall include grading standards, attendance policies, classroom behavioral expectations, course outline and contact information)

4. Verify student enrollment and submit grade sheets

Evaluate Student Progress

1. Keep accurate record of student performance

2. Provide students with timely feedback

Provide Student Assistance

1. Maintain office hours and voice-mail/e-mail communication
