This position is hired through AmeriCorps but works at Freedom Elementary School.

Position Summary-

Math multiplies students' future opportunities. Join our team at Freedom Elementary as a Math Tutor, and you can support students as they build essential math skills.

Math Tutors serve during the school day and meet with small groups of students in grades K-3 to help strengthen their skills and confidence. With training and support from an onsite coach, you'll be use proven activities that help students improve in math. No matter your math ability, you can make a great tutor.

This is a paid AmeriCorps member position with Math Corps. No teaching experience is required! All you need is a desire to help kids succeed. By giving your time as a tutor, you can make an incredible impact and help more students become successful

Core Responsibilities:

• Be a caring adult who''s focused on helping children thrive
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school''s on-site coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
