Math Instructor

Position Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Math Instructor to teach students in small groups and one-on-one settings. The ideal candidate enjoys helping students understand math concepts, build confidence, and develop a love for learning.

Responsibilities

\n

• \n
• Teach math to K–8 students in small-group and one-on-one settings.
• \n
• Deliver engaging lessons aligned with Texas TEKS and support STAAR readiness.
• \n
• Identify learning gaps and adapt instruction to meet individual student needs.
• \n
• Help students with school curriculum, homework, and test preparation.
• \n
• Assist in developing and improving the Math curriculum, lesson plans, assessments, worksheets, and instructional materials.
• \n
• Track student progress and provide feedback to parents and academy staff.
• \n
• Create a positive, encouraging, and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

\n

·        Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

\n

·        Previous teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.

\n

·        Strong understanding of K-8 math concepts.

\n

·        Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

\n

·        Patient, positive, and passionate about helping students succeed.

\n

·        Availability for after-school, evening, or weekend classes.

\n

\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

·        Texas teaching certification or classroom teaching experience.

\n

·        Experience with TEKS, STAAR, or Algebra I instruction.

\n

·        Experience teaching in small-group or tutoring environments.

\n
