The Math Interventionist provides instructional services to students receiving Math tier II and tier III supports. The Interventionist provides individual or small group
instruction to students who are struggling to meet grade-level skill benchmarks in Math. This position is also responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Becomes skilled in OASD approved Math intervention programs or strategies
Provides high quality instruction to individual students and small groups
Uses data to provide instruction to students and to bring their skills to grade-level benchmarks
Collaborates with teachers, coaches, administration, and families to help identify best
practices for individual and small groups of students
Uses identified research-based interventions or strategies, focusing specifically on individual
student needs
Maintains documentation of student performance and progress through approved OASD data
systems
Provides data to grade-level teams and participates in decisions about student progress
Participates in meetings with teachers, administration, and families to discuss student placement
and progress
Provides diagnostic assessments for students as needed
