The Maple Dale-Indian Hill School District serves approximately 450 students in grades 4K-8 at Indian Hill (4K-3) and Maple Dale (4-8) Schools. Students in our schools reside in Bayside, Fox Point, Glendale, River Hills, and the Greater Milwaukee area through open enrollment.

Maple Dale-Indian Hill School District seeks a full-time, math interventionist/specialist. This person will work at both Maple Dale and Indian Hill Schools, with both students and teachers. The role entails nearly 80% of each week directly servicing the students in most need of math support using research-based practices and 20% of each week working with math teachers to support the implementation of Bridges in Mathematics in grades 4K-5 and Envision Math in grades 6-8.

For the math interventionist portion of the role, this person will assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of an appropriate supplementary basic skills program for students who are performing below grade level that is in accordance with state and federal law and includes components related to:

  • Student identification and diagnosis

  • Student remedial instruction as related to skill acquisition and skill application

  • Evaluation of student progress and achievement

  • Communication and student follow-up with regular classroom teachers

  • Parent involvement

For the math specialist portion of the role, this person will meet with grade-level teams regularly for tier 1 instruction support, as well as tier 2 planning and monitoring. This person will also be responsible for leading math-focused professional development and new teacher training.

A passion for math, a desire to obtain additional math training, and a collaborative, professional disposition are necessary for this role.
