The Appleton Area School District has a position available for a 1.0 FTE (100%) Math and Science Instructional Coach at the Scullen Leadership Center beginning on 08/24/2026.
As a district coach, we are seeking an individual with the following qualifications:
Strong understanding of adult and student learning styles, with experience presenting information and designing professional development for large and small groups
Experience using data to support instruction through the creation of district pacing guides and additional instructional support documents at the elementary level as well as using state data to support district designed learning progressions at the 5K-5 level
Experience working with staff to improve mathematical and scientific practices and understanding of math/science content, math/science thinking, mathematical/scientific practices, and math/science standards at the 5K-5 level
Experience promoting reflective practices and supporting instructional staff through collaborative resource management, math and science content presentations, classroom visits, co-planning, study groups, professional development, co-teaching and/or peer coaching
Demonstrates respect, a supportive attitude and strong relationship-building skills
Collaborates with other district and site coaches, math interventionists, and elementary teachers to support math and science development across the elementary grade levels
Willingness to coach universal math instruction in highest need title one schools for a portion of the work week
Provide additional instruction support to title one schools in strengthening EMLSS systems
