Duties

Northeast Junior High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Math Teacher for our 6th-grade students. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This full-time position requires a commitment to student success, collaboration with colleagues, and engagement with the school community. The Math Teacher will develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with educational standards and meets the diverse needs of students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification for middle school mathematics.
• Previous teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level, is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of math curriculum and instructional strategies for 6th-grade students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

Salary/Benefits

This is a full-time equivalent position. The base salary for a 1.0 full-time position is $48,205.13. The District pays 95% of single health insurance policy, plus $15,000 of life insurance. Employee-paid dental and vision plus flex plans are also available. 17 sick days and 2 personal days per year.
