    Math Teacher - LVM

    Job Summary:

    This position is for MathTeacher positions at Leonard V Moore Middle School for the 2026/2027 school year.

    Qualifications/Responsibilities:

    • Rigorous mathematics instruction aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS).
    • Establish a positive, inclusive, and academically challenging classroom environment.
    • Differentiate and scaffold instruction to meet the needs of students at varying achievement levels.
    • Utilize formative and summative assessment data to identify student needs and adjust instruction.
    • Monitor student progress through assessments, classroom performance, and instructional data.
    • Collaborate with grade-level teams, instructional coaches, special education teachers, and other school personnel.
    • Participate actively in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), team meetings, and professional development.
    • Integrate technology and appropriate instructional resources to enhance student learning.
    • Provide targeted intervention and enrichment opportunities based on student performance.
    • Maintain accurate and timely student records, grades, and documentation.
    • Communicate effectively and professionally with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
    • Support the school's social-emotional learning, school culture, and student leadership initiatives.
    • Participate in school events, family engagement activities, and other responsibilities as assigned.
    • Develop students' mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
    • Facilitate productive mathematical discourse.
    • Use questioning strategies that promote higher-order thinking.
    • Provide multiple representations and models of mathematical concepts.
    • Support students in developing mathematical fluency.
    • Analyze assessment data and develop responsive instructional plans.
    • Incorporate hands-on learning, technology, and real-world applications of mathematics.
    • Establish high expectations while providing appropriate academic support.
    • Qualifications:

    New Jersey Teacher of Mathematics certification or eligibility for appropriate New Jersey certification.

    • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Experience teaching mathematics at the middle school level preferred.
    • Knowledge of standards-based mathematics instruction and effective assessment practices.
    • Experience using student data to drive instructional decision-making.
    • Demonstrated ability to differentiate and scaffold instruction for diverse learners.
    • Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
    • Commitment to creating an equitable, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.

    Stipend/Salary:

    REA Salary Guide Range

    BA: Step 1 $57,828.00- MA+30 Step OG1 $104,576.00
