What You'll Do- Plan and deliver engaging mathematics instruction aligned with Minnesota Academic Standards.
- Teach secondary mathematics courses appropriate to student needs, including subjects such as Intermediate Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Algebra, Statistics, or other middle and high school math courses.
- Develop lesson plans that promote conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and real-world problem solving.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of all learners.
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes student engagement, collaboration, and academic growth.
- Incorporate technology and innovative instructional strategies to enhance mathematics learning.
- Support students in developing strong study habits, perseverance, and critical-thinking skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to analyze student data, improve instruction, and strengthen curriculum alignment.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, attendance, and progress reports.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff regarding academic progress and student success.
- Participate in professional learning communities, staff meetings, school events, and ongoing professional development.
- Support FIT Academy's commitment to integrating fitness, character development, and teamwork into the educational experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience You'll Need- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
- Valid Minnesota teaching license (or eligibility for licensure) in Secondary Mathematics.
- Strong knowledge of secondary mathematics curriculum and instructional best practices.
- Ability to teach multiple secondary mathematics courses.
- Experience differentiating instruction for diverse learners.
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented school community.
