The Shorewood School District is seeking a Mathematics Teacher to join the Shorewood High School faculty for the 2026-2027 school year (one-year contract).
Performance Responsibilities Include:
- Teaching Math at an appropriate instructional level.
- Promoting student engagement in order to assess and encourage progress.
- Establishing and maintaining standards of pupil behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere.
- Guiding the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and the like to communicate these objectives to students.
- Teaching students with respect for their individual and cultural characteristics
- Using current technology to enhance instruction.
- Identifying pupil needs and make appropriate referrals.
- Creating and maintaining a safe learning environment in which all students are actively engaged and contributing members.
- Communicating with parents by means of phone calls, email, conferences, etc.
- Participating in and contributing to the teaching profession.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor''s Degree in Math Education preferred
- Mathematics License 1400
- Experience meeting the social/emotional needs of adolescent learners
