INTERNAL POSTING Katonah -Lewisboro School District Announces the Following Anticipated Vaca ncy For the 2026 -2027 School Year Math Teacher John Jay High School KLSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the probationary position of Math Teacher at John Jay High School beginning September 1, 2026. Qualifications & Responsibilities: • Possess a current NYS Math 7 -12 Certification. • Understand and know how to implement instruction aligned with the NYS Numeracy Briefs, emphasizing conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, productive struggle, and student discourse. • Regularly use student data to inform instruction, monitor progress, and adjust practices. • Demonstrate understanding of MTSS within the math classroom, including differentiated Tier 1 & 2 instruction and targeted supports. • Have experience in designing and facilitating project -based learning or performance -based experiences aligned to the mathematical practices. • Understand how to apply restorative practices to foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture. • Regularly work in partnership with families to support student growth. • Actively participates in a professional learning community (PLC), engaging in ongoing, collaborative professional learning to refine and enhance instructional practice. • Works with colleagues to analyze student data, share best practices, and implement research -based strategies that improve student outcomes.
