About the Role:
Sylvan Learning Center in Marlton, NJ is looking for a passionate and patient Math Tutor to help students in Grade 5 and above unlock their full potential. Join a team dedicated to building confidence and academic success in a supportive, student-centered environment!



Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, one-on-one or small group math tutoring sessions for students in Grade 5 and above
• Assess individual student needs and adapt instructional strategies accordingly
• Reinforce core math concepts including pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and beyond
• Track and document student progress and communicate updates to Center Director
• Create a positive, encouraging learning environment that builds student confidence
• Collaborate with center directors to align tutoring with each student's personalized learning plan

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in math at the middle school level and above
• Prior tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience of minimum three (3) years preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students and parents
• Patient, encouraging, and adaptable teaching style
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Associate's degree or higher in Education, Mathematics, or a related field preferred
• Certified teacher
