Course Assistant STA-104

Department: Mathematics
Location: Bailey Hall/Union College

Supervisor: Sean Carney

Hours/Shifts Available: 5-10hr/week

Rate of Pay: $9.70/hr

Number of Positions available: 1

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Grading homework

  • Possibly holding extra office hours for students

  • Working directly with the course instructor

Qualifications:

  • Strong record in STA-104, and should have successfully completed at least one upper level mathematics course in the department, and with grades in the A-range for these courses. Preference given to those who have completed an upper-level math course.

  • Math Major/Minor, also welcome ENG Major/Minor

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is a MUST

  • Time management skills

  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills

  • Basic organizational skills (alpha/numeric)

  • Attention to detail and accuracy
