Position Summary:
Mathnasium — The Math Learning Center, located in Anaheim Hills, has openings for regular part-time math instructors. We are looking for candidates that share our positivity and passion for teaching, math and motivating children to succeed. We set ourselves apart by creating an environment that is supportive, encouraging, energetic, and most importantly, FUN!
At Mathnasium, our teaching philosophy revolves around teaching math in a way that makes sense to kids, Kindergarten through high school, and helping them gain confidence in their math knowledge with the goal of helping them improve in their math education. We focus on strengthening math fundamentals by building math skills and number sense.
This job requires applicants to successfully pass an in person Employment Test, which tests the applicant's math skill level, before moving on to an in person interview with the Management Team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to comfortably teach math subjects up to Algebra 1, competency in subjects such as Algebra 2, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus is preferred
- Exceptional communication and writing skills
- Ability to manage 3-4 students
- Very good at following directions
- Attentive to detail
- Energetic, confident and mentoring personality
- Passion for education
