Job Title

Maufacturing Engineer

Job Description

This role is responsible for overseeing product development lifecycle management (PDLM) subprojects, defining production-related requirements, updating quality control plans, providing factory input, implementing factory and product design changes, enhancing manufacturing processes, and optimizing Capex strategies independently with limited supervision.

Your role:

  • Defines production-related Manufacturing requirements in PDLM, ensures alignment with production needs, and facilitates smooth transitions from product design to production stages

  • Reviews quality control plans and work instructions and ensures adherence to quality standards and compliance with safety, regulatory, and legal requirements within the manufacturing department

  • Provides advanced technical support to production personnel to troubleshoot equipment issues and resolve production bottlenecks on time, leveraging knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation systems.

  • Applies lean manufacturing principles, employing methodologies to streamline production processes, minimize waste, optimize resource utilization, and enhance overall efficiency within the manufacturing environment.

You're the right fit if:

  • You've acquired 2+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in areas such as manufacturing/operations, engineering, industrial engineering, systems engineering, production engineering or cost engineering or equivalent; no prior experience required with a Master's degree; Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred along with degree

  • Your skills include manufacturing principles, environmental health and safety, quality monitoring, equipment installations, product lifecycle management, process improvements, lean manufacturing, business acumen, cost optimization, Six Sigma, design for Manufacturability, regulatory compliance, CAPA methodologies, project management

  • You have a Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Sciences, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in PA is $95,000 to $152,000

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
