Laser Operator
OpSource has partnered with a machine shop company located in Spartanburg.
Pay for the position:
Shifts for the position:
- 2nd shift
- 3pm-1:30am Mon-Th
Job requirements for the position may include:
- Set up and operate a Mazak 10kW fiber laser
- Load and unload raw material and finished parts
- Select and verify correct programs, material, and thickness
- Monitor cut quality and adjust parameters as needed
- Inspect parts to ensure quality and print specifications are met
- Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Accurately complete production and quality documentation
Preferred Experience
- Mazatrol control experience
- Nesting software knowledge
- Forklift or crane experience (a plus)
Qualifications for the position:
- Previous experience operating a fiber laser cutting machine (Mazak strongly preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and work orders
- Experience cutting mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Comfortable with CNC controls and basic machine setup
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable attendance and ability to work second shift
