We are seeking a skilled Mazak VMC & HMC Mill Setup and Programmer to join our dynamic team in Machesney Park, IL. You will play a crucial role in setting up and programming our advanced Mazak vertical and horizontal machining centers, ensuring that we meet our production goals while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Mazak VMC and HMC machines according to specifications.
- Program CNC machines using Mazatrol and G-code to produce high-quality parts.
- Conduct tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain optimal machine performance.
- Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Oversee a Team of 2 -3 Milling operators. Keeping them on task and assisiting them when issues occur
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred.
- Proven experience in setting up and programming Mazak VMC and HMC machines.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming, including Mazatrol and G-code.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools and quality control processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet production demands.
