Mazatrol Lathe Applications Programmer & Setup Specialist

• Can you take a blueprint straight to a Mazak and write Mazatrol or G‑code on the spot?
• Do you enjoy dialing in offsets, tool registers, and fixtures to nail the first‑piece?
• Are you the one operators call when a machine shows the first sign of trouble?

What you will do

• Program at the machine in Mazatrol or G‑code and complete end‑to‑end production setups.
• Install fixtures, load tools, set tool registers and offsets, and configure machine control parameters.
• Run and validate first‑piece sample parts before releasing to production.
• Continuously monitor machining, identify malfunctions, and make real‑time adjustments to stabilize the process.
• Verify dimensions and finishes to prints using GD&T requirements.

Tooling, controls, and tech

• Mazak controls: T‑32, T+, Fusion, Matrix, Smooth Control
• CAM software: Mastercam and Mazatrol
• Equipment familiarity: 2‑, 3‑, and 4‑axis CNC lathes; CNC Swiss (Star)

Must‑have background

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in a production manufacturing environment; 3–5 years preferred.
• G‑code and M‑code proficiency with strong CNC programming skills.
• Proven production setup capability for repeatable runs.
• PLC troubleshooting and PLC programming proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with Mazak CNC lathes (2–4 axis).
• Comfort with CAM workflows and tools.

Great to have

• Live tooling and Y‑axis experience.

Quality focus

• Strong command of GD&T and inspection against prints.
• Ownership of machine setups for production runs from first‑piece through completion.
