Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented service technician to join our automotive service team. In this role, you will inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles to help ensure safe, reliable performance and an excellent customer experience. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, follows manufacturer procedures, and takes pride in delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, brake inspections, and multi-point inspections.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance concerns using diagnostic tools and service information.
- Complete repairs efficiently and accurately according to manufacturer standards and dealership procedures.
- Document all work performed, including findings, recommendations, and parts used.
- Communicate clearly with service advisors and team members regarding vehicle condition and repair needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all shop safety guidelines.
- Keep current with product updates, repair methods, and ongoing training opportunities.
- Use appropriate tools, equipment, and technology to complete service work effectively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive repair, maintenance, or a related technical field preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret repair orders, technical documents, and service information.
- Working knowledge of automotive systems, including brakes, steering, suspension, engine performance, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with dealership processes and manufacturer repair standards is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, where permitted by law.
- Ability to lift, move, and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- ASE certification or manufacturer training is preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
