McKinney-Vento Program Assistant (2026-2027) - District Wide

WAIVER Announcement: Interested applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Bullitt County Public Schools is requesting a waiver to fill this position before the standard 15-day posting period to ensure we are fully staffed for the upcoming school year.

Perform a variety of duties in support of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education program involving assisting program coordinators and others in the implementation of program objectives and activities.

Employee must be willing to be certified to drive district vehicles (vans).

May be responsible for delivering essential items to families and transporting students to/from school, necessary appointments, and/or activities for McKinney-Vento students lacking transportation.

Position Details

Hours: 3.75 hours per day

Contract Length: 120 days per year

Contract Adjustments: Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date

Employment Status:Part time (not eligible for benefits)

Employment Type: 10-month employee on the classified pay schedule

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Must have high school diploma or equivalent,
• Documentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.

Compensation & Experience Credit

2026-2027 Pay Scale

• Starting Pay (Step 0): $16.46/hour
• Experienced Pay (Step 10): $20.26/hour
