The McNair Program Assistant supports undergraduate scholars in summer research and graduate school preparation, including student consultations, research poster and presentation support, and developing a graduate school decision-making module. The role involves direct student engagement during weeks 1-7 (~21 hours), poster support in week 8 (16 hours), and a special project (~60-65 hours). Key responsibilities include providing guidance on research expectations, feedback on presentations, and creating an asynchronous Canvas module to assist scholars with navigating PhD offers. Qualifications include proficiency with technology, strong communication skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks. Preferred candidates may have experience working with undergraduates, knowledge of TRIO programs, and familiarity with graduate admissions. The position is part-time, temporary, and pays $19/hour.
