The McNair Program Assistant supports undergraduate scholars in the TRIO McNair Scholars Program during summer research and graduate school preparation. Key tasks include providing student consultation (~3 hours/week), supporting poster and presentation prep for conferences, and developing a graduate school decision-making module. The role involves guiding students through research expectations, communication, and project management, fostering a positive learning environment, and creating an asynchronous Canvas module on navigating multiple PhD offers. Qualifications include proficiency with technology, strong communication, and multitasking skills. Preferred candidates are TRIO McNair alumni or experienced in working with undergraduates and graduate admissions. This temporary, part-time position offers $19/hour and contributes to a program promoting diversity, equity, and student success in higher education.
