    Wellstar Kennestone Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Pathologist to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to work at a leading healthcare institution in Marietta, Georgia, known for its patient-centered care and innovative medical services. The ideal candidate will be board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, with subspecialty expertise in areas such as Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology, or Hematopathology.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide diagnostic pathology services, including the interpretation of surgical pathology, cytology, and clinical laboratory tests.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with physicians, surgeons, oncologists, and other healthcare providers to support patient care.
    • Conduct gross and microscopic examination of specimens and prepare diagnostic reports.
    • Supervise and guide laboratory staff, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
    • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in hospital committees.
    • Engage in teaching and mentorship opportunities for medical students, residents, and fellows (if applicable).

    Qualifications:

    • MD or DO degree with board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP).
    • Subspecialty fellowship training is preferred (e.g., Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology, Hematopathology).
    • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Georgia.
    • Strong diagnostic skills and a commitment to quality patient care.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
    • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently and accurately.
