A warm, informal family relocating from Miami, Florida to Austin, Texas, is seeking an experienced, proactive, and detail-oriented full-time Housekeeper. The family consists of two parents and their 9-year-old daughter and resides in a newly built, approximately 5,000-square-foot home with 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The husband works from home, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working around family members throughout the day while maintaining professionalism and discretion. The hours will be Monday-Friday 8 am to 4 pm.
Responsibilities:
Housekeeping & Household Management
- Perform daily and deep cleaning of the residence
- Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of all living spaces
- Pick up, organize, and put away toys and household items
- Make beds and tidy bedrooms and common areas
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize surfaces throughout the home
- Clean and maintain bathrooms and kitchen areas
- Empty trash and recycling as needed
Laundry & Wardrobe Care
- Wash, dry, fold, and properly store family laundry
- Iron and steam clothing and household linens as needed
- Manage linens, towels, and seasonal items
Pet Care
- Feed and let out the family's two small dogs (approximately 12 lbs each)
- Ensure the dogs' daily needs are met while the family is home
- Candidates open to providing pet care during the family's travel periods, either in the family's home or their own home, for additional compensation are strongly preferred
Household Operations
- Bring in mail and packages daily
- Maintain inventory of household products and supplies
- Notify the family when items need to be reordered
- Coordinate with and oversee household vendors, including:
- Landscaping team
- Pool maintenance company
- Let vendors into the home/property as needed and keep track of service visits and schedules
Qualifications:
- Has prior experience working as a Housekeeper in a private home
- Is organized, self-motivated, and takes initiative
- Is comfortable working independently and anticipating household needs
- Can work efficiently while family members are present in the home
- Is discreet, dependable, and trustworthy
- Is comfortable with dogs and enjoys being around pets
- Possesses strong English communication skills
- Has excellent references from previous private household positions
Requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Fluent English speaker
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Non-smoker
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and reference verification
Salary and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience
- Paid Time Off: Two (2) weeks of PTO annually, to be used for vacation and/or sick time

- Health Insurance: Family is open to reimbursing medical insurance costs for the right candidate
