Private Brooklyn professional seeking compassionate, highly organized Personal Assistant / House Manager to provide one-on-one support in managing a private residence, with a significant emphasis on pet care and maintaining an orderly home.
This is a long-term, full-time position for someone who genuinely enjoys working with animals, takes pride in maintaining an exceptionally clean and organized environment, and is comfortable serving as a trusted right hand to a busy professional

Responsibilities:
Pet Care (Primary Responsibility)
Provide attentive daily care for companion animals, including feeding, walking, administering medications and supplements as directed, enrichment activities, grooming support, and monitoring overall health and well-being
Maintain clean, sanitary pet living spaces
Coordinate veterinary appointments, grooming visits, and other pet-related services
Monitor pet supplies and proactively maintain inventory
Provide companionship and ensure animals receive consistent attention and exercise throughout the day
Assist with transportation of pets when needed
Household Operations & Housekeeping
Perform daily housekeeping to maintain an exceptionally clean, organized, and welcoming home
Laundry, linen changes, dishes, vacuuming, tidying, organizing, and resetting rooms throughout the day
Organize closets, storage areas, and household supplies
Grocery shopping, household purchasing, and personal errands
Maintain household inventory and restock supplies before they run low
Coordinate maintenance appointments and service professionals
Personal Assistant Responsibilities
Manage personal calendar, schedule appointments
Book flights/hotels/ground transportation
Coordinate travel itineraries and ensure all reservations and logistics are in place
Handle personal errands and special projects
Coordinate deliveries, shipments, returns, and household logistics
Research products, services, and vendors, and make recommendations when requested
Anticipate needs, solve problems proactively, and take initiative with minimal supervision
Maintain absolute discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality
Qualifications:
Professional experience in animal care (veterinary, rescue, shelter, training, boarding, pet sitting, or similar)
Experience supporting a busy professional in a one-on-one household environment
Strong technology and calendar management skills
Requirements:
Minimum two (2) consecutive years supporting the same employer in a private household
Minimum two (2) years of experience working as a Personal Assistant, House Manager, or similar role within a private residence
Demonstrated experience caring for companion animals; professional animal care experience is strongly preferred but not required
Comfortable handling multiple pets and maintaining detailed care routines
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and professionalism
Ability to perform housekeeping tasks as part of the daily routine
Ability to independently manage household operations with minimal supervision
Exceptional discretion, sound judgment, and attention to detail
Salary and Benefits:
Starting at $40-50/hour, commensurate with experience
