ME377 - Temporary Nanny - Santa Monica, CA

Overview:

A warm family in Santa Monica, CA is seeking an experienced and dependable temporary nanny to care primarily for their 7-month-old, with some care for their 3-year-old. The position will run from November 19 through December 4 for a total of 10 weekdays and 80 hours. They are looking for a local candidate, not someone they will need housing for that time period. This is a live-out position.

The ideal candidate will have strong infant experience and be confident managing feeding and nap schedules while providing engaging, developmentally appropriate care. On regular school days, the nanny will also prepare breakfast for the family’s 3-year-old and help her get ready for school. During three days over Thanksgiving week when the older child is home from school, the nanny will care for both children.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for a 7-month-old
• Manage and maintain the baby’s feeding and nap schedule
• Prepare bottles and age-appropriate food and feed the baby
• Wash and sanitize bottles and clean up after meals
• Engage the baby in age-appropriate activities, including tummy time, reading, walks, sensory play, and developmental activities
• Keep the baby’s nursery, play areas, and child-related spaces neat and organized
• Prepare breakfast for the 3-year-old and assist her with getting ready for school
• Provide care for both children during three non-school days over Thanksgiving week
• Prepare and serve meals/snacks for the children as needed
• Manage naps, playtime, and activities for both children when they are home
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment throughout the day

Requirements:

• Must be available for all 10 scheduled workdays
• Must be comfortable caring for both a 7-month-old and 3-year-old
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Schedule
6:30 AM–2:30 PM

November: 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, and 30
December: 1, 2, 3, and 4

No weekend work is required. The nanny will also be off on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, and Friday, November 27.

Total: 10 days / 80 hours

Salary and Benefits:

• $35-40/hr
