Meat Cutter and Meat clean up person

Meat Cutter 

• Merchandise the meat according to direction
• Time management skills
• Understand the standard cuts of meat for the US market ; Beef, Pork, and Poultry
• Semi-basic math skills
• Eye for aesthetic; displaying the meat in a pleasing manner in the package
• Ability to take constructive criticism
• An understanding that the meat cutter has the responsibility of ensuring the fresh case is consistently full; at the direction of the manager
• Ability to maintain a mostly tidy work area
• When no Midshifter/ Helper has been designated to wrap, wrap the meat you cut
• If all cutting for the day is done, willingness to help with extra cleaning or other departmental work.
• Ability to lift 100lb to chest height 
• Periodically run meat carts to the wall, in addition to after wrapping
• Must be able to read

Midshifter / Helper

• Ability to take direction
• Willingness to help the department where needed
• Wrap the carts of meat that the cutters produce if assigned to
• Grind meat into packages
• Put the meat trucks away in the cooler
• Assist in working the lunchmeat trucks
• Basic math skills
• Must be able to read
• Ability to lift 100lb to chest height
• Periodically run meat carts to the wall, in addition to after wrapping
• Understand basic organization
  
  

Closer

• Daily cleanup
• Must be ok with using cleaning supplies (bleach, soap, etc)
• Must be able to lift 70lb
• Must be able to read
• Must be able to follow directions/ closing list
• Assists in the meat room doing miscellaneous as needed until cleanup starts
• Eye for cleanliness
• Understands the need to continuously keep the meat wall full of the product that was cut and racked for the day
• Willingness to assist where needed
