Meat Cutter

Provide excellent customer service by making meat cuts look professional, rotating and filling the meat case, and maintaining good hygiene and clean work area. Requirements/Responsibilities Examples Of Work Performed: (Work responsibilities may vary, depending on assignment) • Must be able to cut all meats. • Cleans up meat dept. • Takes care of meat counters. • Helps train other personnel in the dept. • Friendly personality. • Positive Attitude. • Check for out of date or damaged product. • Follows safety procedures. • Uses care in handling products. • Excellent customer service skills. • Follows security procedures. • Observes and replaces substandard products. • Any other responsibilities assigned by manager. • Assists on the frontend to help bag and carryout groceries to customers' vehicle. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility: None. Work Environment: The associate is required to work in cool environment handling raw fresh meat. Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. Will be using a saw, knife, grinder and slicer regularly. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Ability to treat each customer with respect and in a friendly manner. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. • Ability to work flexible hours as needed and scheduled. • Patience in dealing with customers and other individuals. • Ability to handle required lifting duties. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required For Full-Performance: • Requires the ability to independently perform all of the duties of the position efficiently and effectively. • Knowledge of store layout. • Knowledge of all meat cuts.
