Our client, a family-owned Bronx meat supplier, known for hand-selected USDA Prime beef and premium cuts served by top New York steakhouses is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Meat Processing & Packaging Associate to join our team. This rolefocuses on vacuum-sealed meat packaging operations using commercial sealing systems.

Location: Bronx, NY

Pay: $17.00 / HR

Shift: 5am to completion

Key Responsibilities

Cryovac Machine Operation

• Feed product into vacuum-sealing machines (Multivac R085, VC999)
• Monitor vacuum seal integrity and remove/repack defective product
• Trim excess plastic and prepare finished packages
• Run product through shrink tunnel when required
• Maintain steady production flow to avoid bottlenecks or pileups

Quality & Food Safety Compliance

• Follow sanitation SOPs and equipment safety protocols
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Prevent cross-contamination and maintain product integrity
• Maintain proper temperature controls (35–40°F environment)
• Report equipment or quality issues to leads immediately

Production & Team Support

• Work collaboratively with fabrication and warehouse teams
• Assist with staging, labeling, and preparation for storage or distribution
• Support end-of-shift cleaning and sanitation procedures

Qualifications

• Entry-level applicants welcome; previous vacuum packaging or meat processing experience preferred
• Ability to work in wet, refrigerated environments (35–40°F)
• Comfortable with repetitive motions and standing for extended periods
• Ability to lift 40–60 lbs
• Strong attention to detail, speed, and teamwork
