The Meat Wrapper is responsible for performing duties as directed by the Meat Manager and/or Assistant Meat Manager for the successful operation of the Meat Department. It is essential that as the Meat Wrapper you will present yourself in a professional and courteous manner at all times while performing your defined responsibilities. You are responsible for always maintaining our high standards of Customer Service. Other duties may be assigned as required, depending upon the available time, business volume and other criteria as determined by your appropriate supervisors and/or Gerrity's Supermarkets. Full compliance with current and future policies will be required to ensure that your work contribution is in the best interest of Gerrity's Supermarkets. Responsibilities: Responsible to weigh and wrap all fresh and frozen meats Check weekly ad items and program prices in scales Maintain cleanliness of the meat equipment and prep areas Responsible for notifying scan coordinator of prices changes and new items Set up case for weekly specials and change all signs as required Maintain case orderly, fresh and appealing to the customer by pulling outdated, bloody and unattractive product Responsible for providing customers with high level of customer service Assist with proper packaging of a variety of meat products, as required * Responsible for checking and maintaining proper case temperatures on a daily basis
