    Description

    What this job involves As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will use your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. In addition to developing your skills, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.What your day-to-day will look like Promote a safe working environment by following all safety proceduresComplete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentationTroubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and moreMaintain a positive working relationship across all the Operations facilityTrack and store department inventoryMove up to 49 lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodationPossible travel up to20%at a minimum.Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalentAbility to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights and/or holidays2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance proceduresPreferred Qualifications Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading1+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principlesExperience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and safety standardsExperience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenanceAble to troubleshoot basic input and output functionsPhysical Demands Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walkingLifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds, occasionally weighing up to 49 poundsDexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals) manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfacesStanding/walking on concrete surfaces for 10+ hour shiftsWorking at heights (as stated previously)Pushing/pulling wheeled equipment and carts up to 100+ poundsManeuvering awkward or bulky equipment partsWorking in cramped positions under/behind machineryBenefits 401(k) plan with matching company contributionsComprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision CarePaid parental leave at100%of salaryPaid Time Off and Company HolidaysEarly access to earned wages through Daily PayThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
