Maintenance Mechanic II

The Mechanic II will be a highly self-motivated customer-centric team player with the ability to work with little to no supervision, solving difficult problems, managing outside contractors, being on call for emergencies, and handling multiple projects and daily activities under tight timelines.

Shift Monday - Friday, 6pm to 2:30pm

Starting Pay: $35.88

What Youll Do

• Work independently and with little to no supervision to troubleshoot all conveyor material handling systems, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection systems. • Execute departmental and operational goals. • Assist in the design, layout, and reconfiguration of existing systems as necessary. • Utilize CMMS system to create and maintain the work schedule and workflow. • Work regularly on aerial platform lifts, booms, snorkel lifts, and powered industrial trucks, reach order picker, stand-up pallet runners, stock chaser, etc. • Mentor team members by motivating, providing guidance, and direct feedback to help them achieve their goals and improve individual performance. • Develop and maintain good working relationships across all levels of the organization. • Responsible for keeping and maintaining tools, supplies, and a clean, organized work area. • Will perform emergency repairs in high-pressure circumstances.

What Youll Need

Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance and/or combined certifications. Proficient reading and comprehending electrical schematics and using associated tools such as voltohm meter, etc. Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic ladder diagrams, control components, photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, and encoders. Proficient using hand and power tools and electrical testing equipment, including PLC systems. Experienced safely using warehouse equipment such as order pickers, pallet jacks, forklifts, and aerial lifts. Proficient using computer systems and CMMS software. Will be required to wear applicable personal protective equipment, including arc flash protection and safety shoes. Ability to regularly bend, lift, stretch, crawl, and reach, engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists, and stand and walk for long periods. Ability to access all areas of the building by climbing ladders and gangways safely and without limitation. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment that can be noisy and have a low lighting level. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines. Ability to work independently as part of a team and take directions. Must be a safety-conscious, motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude. Must be flexible on working hours and willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
