About the Role:
Superior Transmission Inc is looking for a skilled Mechanic and Transmission Installer to join our team in Waterbury, CT! This is a hands-on role where your expertise will keep vehicles running smoothly and customers back on the road. If you're passionate about automotive repair , we want to hear from you!

1. Must have experience, pay is depending on amount of experience 
2. Valid driver's license required



Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, remove, and install automatic and manual transmissions
• Perform general automotive mechanical repairs and maintenance
• Conduct transmission rebuilds, overhauls, and component replacements
• Inspect drivetrain components including driveshafts, differentials, and transfer cases
• Perform road tests and post-repair quality checks to ensure proper vehicle operation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
• Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly to service staff

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an automotive mechanic with transmission repair and installation experience
• Strong knowledge of automatic and manual transmission systems
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, scan tools, and standard shop equipment
• ASE certification(s) preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship
