Robert Wright Disposal , a Waste Connections company, is looking to add a Preventative Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice to the team in Glenmont.


Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm / 50-55 Hours per week.


Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Our priority is to make sure we hire mechanics that care about the safety of our drivers and the service provided to the community. As a mechanic with us the minimum responsibilities are:


+ Assists experienced mechanics with vehicle maintenance and repairs, learning the trade under supervision.

+ Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks and equipment

+ Conductoil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and lubrication

+ Assist with brakes inspections, fluid levels, belts, hoses, and other key components

+ Identify potential issues and report necessary repairs to the lead mechanic

+ Maintain accurate service records and reports

+ Keep work areas clean and organized in compliance with safetyregulations

+ Assist with minor repairs and support the mechanic team as needed


What we need from you:


+ Mechanical aptitude, a drive to learn and grow with a team.

+ Ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments to complete work assignments

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

+ Welding/fabrication experience, _a major plus_
