Notice of Vacancy

Position Title: Mechanic/Bus Operator (9:30 am - 5:00 pm)

Immediate Supervisor: Supervisor of Transportation/Director of Transportation

Qualifications:

Mechanic

  • Currently Holding Commercial Drivers License with P & S Endorsements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Passed or able to pass Mechanics test
  • Have or able to acquire Air Brake Certification
  • Have or able to acquire State Inspection License
  • Experience in diagnostic data retrieval from onboard computers of auto and diesel equipment using dedicated scanners and laptop computers.
  • Ability to lift 60lbs

State Certified Bus Operator

  • Hold Commercial Drivers License with P & S Endorsements
  • Complete or have completed the 40 Hours of Classroom Training & Driving Requirements
  • Hold a valid First Aid/CPR Card
  • Pass State Mandated Written Test and State Mandated Driving Test
  • Department of Motor Vehicles Check Completed and Approved
  • Ability to pass physical as required for WV School Bus Operators
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Other as Outlined in the Handbook for School Bus Drivers
